In 2011, five friends were reunited in their hometown of Aberdeen, Washington and came to the conclusion that Grays Harbor is a pretty amazing place to live and that there really is a lot more going on here than first meets the eye. With that, a blog was born.

Stefanie recently returned to her roots when she bought a home with her husband in Cosmopolis after attending Western Washington University and then living in Southern California for a few years. She spends her days handling large amounts of cash at an undisclosed location and her evenings wrangling a very large and excitable dog.

Alexis grew up in the CP (Central Park) but now is living it up with her husband and daughter in Aberdeen. She graduated from UNLV and is currently putting her hospitality skillz to good use working at the Great Wolf Lodge. She claims to work there as a "sales manager" but we're betting she just rides the water slide all day. After her long days at work, she likes to sing Lion King songs with her family in her living room and bake and decorate beautiful cakes.

Britta just spent six weeks driving around the country in a very small car. After spending that much time in a tight space, she decided to live in Aberdeen where she would never have to be stuck in traffic again. She graduated from Western Washington University, lived in Seattle for a few years and spent a year in Portland to really solidify her hipster lifestyle. Now she owns and operates Queen B Quilts and Gray's General Store in Hoquiam. She likes making things, riding her bike and drinking very strong coffee.

Ashley can often be heard telling her clever stories to anyone who will listen. And she also is a DJ on the radio station KIX 95.3! She is our official blog rep for all things country music and Harbor entertainment. She lives in Central Park down a pretty dark and scary road, but apparently she sleeps with a golf club so don't try anything. Ashley is full of surprises, right down to her often mismatched socks.

Chloe grew up in that house that looks like a Pizza Hut near Aberdeen High School and still lives in that same hood with her fluffy cat, Dude. If you've ever rented a flute or tuba for high school band, you've probably met her down at Rosevear's Music. Not only does she assist the people of Grays Harbor in finding ways to express the music in their souls, she also helps people shake what their momma's gave them when she plays bass with the Bruce Hugh's Band and Humptulips on the weekends. She is always down for a DQ Blizzard and rollerblading.

Jen moved her family from the bustling big city to quaint Pacific Beach last year. They've assimilated well into oceanside life, taking advantage of the local outdoor scene and coming to terms with the fact that she'll have to drive an hour to ever reach a grocery store. She is also an artist trapped in a hotelier's body, so you can bet that while she is managing the Pacific Beach Inn she is also dreaming up her next fabric design or crochet project. When she's not making your stay memorable at PB Inn, she can be found wandering the beach with her husband, two kids and (slightly neurotic) dog.
